Debenhams Christmas in July Show

I love Christmas. Like, a lot. And though we may only be coming to the end of August, there's nothing more exciting to me than the idea of seeing all the A/W and Christmas releases in the middle of July and this is exactly what happened at the latest Debenhams Press Show. I was flattered again to be invited down to London by Vanessa and the rest of the team to another beautiful event held in a stunning townhouse in Fitzroy Square, full of fashion, accessories, homeware, gifts and my personal favourite, makeup.

One of my favourite parts of the festive season has to be the shopping and this event was perfect for giving me all sorts of ideas this year (as well as a few bits I will definitely be treating myself too). In terms of fashion when it comes to Christmas it's all about the glitz and glam. There's no better time of year to go completely overboard with glitter, sequins and anything sparkly. Go head to toe in it if you like. And Debenhams have just the collection this year for it. I'm particularly fond of the suedette trend lately after having seen Kylie Jenner rocking a suede dress but if you're not quite that brave, a pair or shoes or boots is the perfect way to inject a little bit into your outfit.

And though I may love red underwear all year round (nothing makes me feel more confident and sexy, even if no one else is going to see it) some of the sets coming out for Christmas this year have me written all over them, buying new underwear has to be my number one guilty pleasure. Heck, I'm not even guilty about it.

After the makeup, the most exciting part of the whole show for me was the homeware. As I am moving out of home in under a week, I've found myself looking at new bits for my flat more and more recently and with the season fast approaching, it's time to start thinking about party bits and festive accessories to spruce up my new home away from home. The incredible gold barware from Julien Macdonald made another appearance along with a complete orange table set up and the most beautiful and extensive range of Ashley Thomas homeware I have ever seen, perhaps the biggest star of the show. The photos here really speak for themselves. If you're into simplistic and minimalist accessories for the home then these might not be for you but if you're into cute, Cath Kidstonesque designs and prints with slogans and illustrations, then this range will be perfect for you.

But the most exciting release in Debenhams over the next few months has to be the Kat Von D Makeup Brand. Long have us Brits waited to get our hands on these products without the annoying additional taxes and shipping costs. From September 13th, so 7 days from now, you will be able to purchase the range online and then a little later in stores. I imagine this is going to be a huge sell out release with such highly anticipated products with great reviews. I haven't been able to try any of her products yet but after testing out a few at the event, I am very excited to try out the contour palette and liquid lipsticks (cause I'm a sucker for any long lasting matte lip colour and Lolita is calling my name). The pigmentation of her products is incredible and I like that she tries to keep them at an accessible price point whilst still being of good quality. A woman after my own heart. When I get my hands on a few pieces I'll be sure to share my opinions!

A huge thank you again to Debenhams for having me along to another fabulous event, I still get a little giddy everytime an email pops up in my inbox because I still don't feel "worthy" of being invited to something so exciting. I hope this all gets you very excited for Christmas, even if we are still a few months off. (Bring on Halloween!)

  4. In my opinion, it was too official there. However, it is casual problem with High society; they always tend to be very clean and smooth. It is making events like this one more like some Countess party. On other hand, if it were boardgames there on the 3rd photo from the end, I could be re-convinced. Like I was convinced by the reviews on MyPaperWriter, last week.
